Kazan Startup Weekend helped follow 950 people

21 December 2015, Monday
This November IT-park hosted Kazan Startup Weekend which resulted in more than $1 mln invested in startups. The meeting with investors was preceded by intensive 3-days program which included feedback sessions, stories of failures and success, BrainIT hackathon and many other events. All the participants logged
in Regicon service. The total number reached 950 guests. But it wasn’t an old plain registration with badges, all of them got a chance to follow people they met on social networks.

The mechanics are very simple. A person coming to an event logs in any social network. Regicon service gives out the badge, and the data from the user's page falls into a special database of the event. During Kazan Startup Weekend Regicon helped collect 950 active subscribers, and each guest had the opportunity to view the pages of all the participants and add them to friends. At the end of the event they received access to contact information of new corporate partners without spending time browsing the web.

It Park, as an organizer, received all the data on the geography of the participants, their age and preferences. Data were collected automatically based on the information that users post about themselves in their profiles in social networks. The main audience of the Kazan Startup Weekend were young people aged 18 to 24 years of age (41,3%). Their main interests are business, literature and cinema. They came from St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Yaroslavl, Samara, Chelyabinsk and Tatarstan.
